Ross Paustian

Board member since 2023

Ross Paustian was elected to the Scott County Board of Supervisors in November of 2022.  He began his term on January 3, 2023.

Ross is a lifelong resident of Scott County and was raised on his family farm in Hickory Grove Township. He graduated from Davenport West High School in 1974 and from South Dakota State University in 1978 with a bachelor’s degree in the field of animal science. Upon graduation he returned to the family farm to work with his father and brother.

Today he farms with his brother, son, and nephew in a row crop and swine operation. Ross served 10 years in the Iowa House or Representatives and retired after the 2022 legislative session.

Ross is the past president of Scott County Farm Bureau, Scott County Pork Producers and past president of the Walcott Community Club. He is a life long member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Davenport, IA. He is currently a member of the North Scott Rotary Club.

Ross and his wife, Carol, reside in Walcott, IA in the Upper Mud Creek Watershed.
