Snapshot In-Depth Volunteer Training December 12

Partners of Scott County Watersheds will be hosting an in-depth Snapshot training on Thursday, December 12 from 5:00-7:00PM at the Davenport Public Works building (1200 E 46th St., Davenport, IA).

The Snapshot Volunteer Water Quality Monitoring events have been taking place since 2003.  Three times a year, groups of volunteers will test around 50 sites in Scott County for nitrogen, phosphorus, chloride, pH, temperature, and turbidity, among other parameters.

Our volunteers come from many different educational backgrounds and age groups, and no previous experience is necessary!  This training is a chance for those who have been thinking about volunteering to get comfortable with the water quality test equipment procedures, as well as for experienced volunteers who would like a “refresher course” before our Snapshot events get underway in the spring.

This event is free to attend.  Please RSVP to [email protected] to reserve your spot or to ask questions.
